We've been enjoying the summer while playing the alpha server. A nice amount of bugs, features, balance changes and improvements were made. Most notable in gameplay that culture and science costs are increased, and Aether is more consistently awarded across playstyles.
Features added
- You can now improve the exchange rate for resources from 3:1 to 1.5:1 for 10 Aether per use, with a cap on the amount of resources exchanged for 10 Aether. This cap starts at 5.000 and increases with 5.000 resources every week.
- The left sidebar has changed. Resources in the village and resource production are now displayed in the same UI.

Balance changed
- Culture and Science requirements now compute based on the total Tier of your villages, instead of the number of settlements in the Kingdom.
- Increased event (stage) duration across the board.
- Reduced the defensive bonus of walls from 5% per level to 2.5% per level. The maximum defensive bonus is now 50%, down from 100%.
Improvements made
- The Empire profile now shows a breakdown of prestige earned through objectives and milestones.
- The Village Culture and Science pages now default to the max amount you can queue and show the maximum possible amount to queue on the page.
- The movement type (attack, move, reinforce, scout, settle) is now highlighted when validating sending the units.
- Native outposts now award Aether per stage instead of a big chunk at the final stage.
- Defensive events now also award Aether.
- The Kingdom overview now shows icons for the districts in each village.

Bugs squashed
- Fixed a bug where reinforcing an event multiple times from the same village would hide the troops from the player.
- Fixed a bug where reinforcing an event while having troops returning from the same village, the reinforcements would get added to the returning troop movement.
- Capturing a monument will now no longer incorrectly activate the first stage.
- A battle report is now correctly generated on capturing a monument from another player
- Doing siege damage now accounts for the updated building level when targeting the same building.
- Battle reports now show a message about damage done to the walls.
- Fixed a floating point error in the resource production breakdown for the bonus percentage.
- The sidebars now close when you open another page through the top menu on mobile.
- The Empire Message for monument completion now shows a monument icon instead of nothing.
- Added thousands separators to the village units, troop movements and building production to improve readability.
- Switching villages through the sidebar from the iron mine now properly redirects to the resources view instead of the town view.
- Incoming troop movements on objectives are now sorted in the proper order.
- Fixed a bug where message threads without messages would show up in the UI.
- The last resource shipment to complete a monument is now added to the contributions overview and generates a report.
- Capturing an objective now generates a message in the report.
