Our first ever patch notes affecting two servers! Hills 1 has opened last week and is going full steam ahead. We're excited to keep growing our community, and keep building features for all to enjoy. Now go forth and read the new patch notes!
Features added
- You will now receive messages from Game Master about important in-game events, such as objectives spawning, someone adding you as a sitter, empire invites and more.
- The empire incomings page has been reworked to add some much-needed features for large scale warfare. You can now filter the incoming attacks, and defense coordinators get to see additional information about the village.
- A new map overlay was introduced to display the incoming attacks on your empire, and the incoming attacks are displayed when clicking on the tile. Now you can play your defensive strategy from the map.
- Defensive coordinator and empire leaders can now see additional village information for their empire members: districts, walls level, loyalty, food in storage and
- Attack and Defend reports are now split for attacks on villages and objectives. This will allow you to more easily identify which is which. Additionally, the reinforce icon was changed to the same as move (still with a different background colour).
- Report titles now show the name of the objective.

Balance changed
- Food on trade routes is now uncapped (well, capped to the storage capacity). All other rules for trade routes still apply. This change should make moving armies around your Kingdom have much less effect on your supply lines.
Improvements made
- You'll now get a pop-up message when you haven't input any troops on the army send form.
- All army movement options (e.g. move, reinforce, attack) now explain what they do.
Reports now show objective names and are split between attack and defend
Bugs squashed
- Merchants once again show they're underway to a completed event if the event was completed before they arrive.
- Returning troops now apply the benefit of the Keep and Military Academy regardless of who sends back the units.
- Players can no longer send army to player-owned tiles that aren't villages or objectives.
- Opening the map tile will now show the correct image variant.
- You can no longer reinforce objectives not owned by your empire. This wouldn't do anything, and now you won't get accidentally confused.
- The opened map tile no longer closes immediately on double-clicking or on Android tapping outside of where the tile information is shown.
- Fixed a bug in task completion that allowed for units to disappear in edge cases.
- Adding projects to the queue when it's full now once again shows an error message.
- Cancelling the merchant from a trade route no longer shows a ghost merchant returning home and then disappearing.
Hope to see you in game! Play Aether Kingdoms now!
