We're 2 weeks into beta 3 and we're enjoying hanging out in-game with you all! This patch adds some empire combat features, a nice amount of improvements, balance tweaks and bug fixes.

Features added

  • The Empire Combat page is now a dashboard. Still quite empty for now, see it as space to grow.
  • The Empire widget in the right sidebar now shows the number of incoming attacks and empire reports. To save some space elsewhere, the weekly PvP statistics are no longer shown in the right sidebar.
  • Added a page where Empire leaders can see the troop totals of all members in the Empire. A new permission was added to give individual members this ability.

Balance changed

  • Aether Deposit duration is increased from 1-2 hours to 2-4 hours
  • Hostile Outpost and Native Ambush tier duration is decreased from 2-4 hours to 1.5-3 hours. This doesn't affect the final tier's duration of 24 hours.
  • The maximum level of resource fields (Forester, Quarry, Iron Mine and Farm) is increased from 27 to 30. It's not efficient to upgrade them this high, but it's theoretically possible with the Storage Depot, so we're enabling the option.

Improvements made

  • Industry, Culture and Science buildings are counted as infrastructure in the Kingdom Statistics. This has been in place since the beginning of the server, but it slipped through the previous patch notes.
  • The Empire and Kingdom profile pages now show the total settlements per tier, instead of just the total number. This brings it in line with the statistics page changes.
  • The Culture Planner is now hidden by default and opened with a button. The UI was confusing to new players.
  • The modal that opens was reimplemented. It now closes when clicking outside the main content, and hopefully this fixes the bug where you're unable to scroll on mobile devices.
  • The + button when sending resources now adds up to the maximum merchant capacity, instead of the maximum number of merchants.
  • The Kingdom standing army page now shows the total village consumption in addition to the standing army's consumption.

Bugs squashed

  • Hotfix: tasks for the Mineshafts and Crane Engineers were corrected so they can be turned in. The Halberdier task now also requires Keep lv5 to complete, instead of it's old Military Academy requirement.
  • Hotfix: persistent login errors should now reset the game to a fresh state, so you can login again and play the game without having to clear all cache manually.
  • Updated the building descriptions of the Military Academy, Trade Office, Merchant's Guild, Stonemason and Fire Station to accurately reflect game values.
  • The Aether Trader is no longer called Aether Merchant in some reports.
  • The Storage Depot now shows its capacity on the building's Help page.
  • The founder now joins the default threads (General chat and Announcements) when creating an Empire.
  • Adding all users to an Empire message thread no longer fails if any user is already a member of that thread.
  • The train troops button on the Army Training page is now disabled when the unit amount is 0 or empty, instead of getting a wrong input error.
  • The Kingdom trade route overview now also counts moving armies as consuming food.
